Who can join?
Membership of Kentish U3A is open to retired or semi-retired people aged over 50 with no upper age limit.
There are no qualifications required to join a U3A class or to become a tutor. There are no exams and no awards are offered. Classes are supportive and fun places in which to learn a new skill or to explore a new area of learning. Our classes are offered during the day usually during the week.
Membership of $40 a year enables you to join as many classes as you wish over the two semesters and summer classes.
What can I learn?
We have courses covering a wide range of topics and interests. Most of these are nothing like a University Course so don’t be deterred by thinking they will be very scholarly.
We have courses to exercise your body, relax your mind, expand your horizons, teach new skills and to make new friends in the process.
If you would like to learn something and it is not currently offered please let us know. If you would like to teach something or know someone who could be a tutor for us please let us know.
Here are some (not all ) of the courses that were offered in 2020.
